I thought they sucked.

The thing was that, until I bought the Nightmare Revisited album

Because I like Nightmare Before Christmas

And Amy Lee covered Sally's Song

(Which is mainly the reason why I know this song almost by heart, now... lolz.)

I never really listened to any Korn.

LOL.

Yeah cause they covered Kidnap Sandy Claws~~

I then started to wonder why I didn't liked them

But didn't go any further

Then 

A few years later

I switched to RadioX2

Which is the only (?) rock channel on the radio around here

And began to hear them on a quite regular basis

And a side from making a this back to basis thing with the other songs they play

I went like... WHY THE FUCK DID I THOUGHT THEY SUCKED ?!

And now I've like... Their complete (or almost, I guess) discography in here ._.

The thing is that it's perfectly possible that I thought they sucked 

Because I then thought they were too mainstream.

LOL.

(Which is completely stupid since I then liked Evanescence, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Sum41 and the like LOL)

And the year after, I attended their concert in Montréal.  LOL.

La vie.

But yeah, I missed them in 2010

Cause I attended D'espairsRay's concert 2 weeks before

And since I couldn't afford to go to Toronto twice in the same month

And that everything was already planned for D'espa when Dir announced it

Well....... Yeah...

But I must say I've no regret about it~~

There'll be another North American tour this year, anyway 8BB

So yeah.

I would've attended their concert with Disturbed

If it wasn't that I was a new fan

And that I wouldn't have known most of the songs cause of that...

And I don't really like to attend a concert if I can't scream the lyrics out loud, you know...

I guess this should be called a review... or a report, at least...

So, for those who didn't knew yet, I went to see D'espairsRay like... just now. Lulz.

We left Québec around nine in the morning and we drove like 9 fucking hours listenning to D'espairsRay and Poitrine and NOIZ lulz.  So we arrived around 6:30PM and got surprised by our room, cause it was really cheap and we were expecting something... cheap.  BUT.  It's really cool, like we wouldn't have gotten any better in a real hotel for that price, so it's freaking awesome. 

This morning, we got up quite early started the line-up around 8:30 and there was some people who slept there... But still, we were 10 or so... When a lil more people showed up, we took out the balloons we bought on the road and started to blow them up and decided to make people sign on them and we ended up doing this :

And I tied up the balloons bouquet to me.... and it looked like this :

Actually, on the green, yellow, blue, the red one and the white one, we just wrote D'espairsRay and tied them on the street.  We first wanted to tied the rest of the balloons to the bus, but a big fat guy in a green shirt gave them back to me, but right after, the manager got out and we could ask her if she could give those to the band, she agreed, took them and I thanked her in a so wapanese way, saying thank you and bending down... Didn't even do it on purpose XDD

But yeah, then we waited again and we entered and there was a first part... We weren't expecting much of them but I must say they weren't bad at all, they were a good warm up band xD Even though we barely could hear the vocal... BUT so did we when D'espa started...

I screamed, jumped, headbanged even more than for Dir, seriously, they were awesome... Even though I didn't know like... half of the songs cause I haven,t quite listened their last albums.... But the crowd started to get crazy when they played Mirror and Hollow... after that... OMG they just kept pushing and I was like OMG but they were all like... 5'3'' asian girls so... Well... lulz, yeah, I'm not asian, I'm 5'8'' and I'm not skinny... HA ! So I haven't let those girls take my place 8BB But still the crowd was moving a lot, so I ended up right beside Ele which I only realized at the end when she talked to me LOL.

So yeah, I can't really say the exact setlist, but they played Sixty Nine, Mirror, Hollow, Garnet, Reddish, Eeeeeh.... I can't remember the rest ;D But it was pretty nice and the guys ô_ô they're prettyyyyy 8BBBBB And yeah, Hizumi had his "goatie" =o... But no armpits hair LOL so he's just half manly XD And Zero fucking like to get touched... Like.... Seriously XDDD And Hizumi has concrete tights ô_ô

Oh and once, Hizumi and Karyu almost ran into each others xD

Oh and you know, at the end of Garnet, there are some lalalas.... but the crowd didn't get they had to sang those while Hizumi was standing there, lipsyncing those... There only was like 20 people lalalaing and I was like... You dumbasses ! And yeah, he realized ther weren't lalalaing so he began to lalala... well, t'was more like woawoaing, but still.... and now people got it but... Err... I mean, you were all fucking lalalaing in Hollow, but not in fucking Garnet... DUH.

And yeah, at the end, Karyu and Zero were spitting ther water on us and the first shot Zero gave us, it was like all in my face but instead of being grossed out, I was just like OMG THAT'S SO FUCKING REFRESHING !!!!!! *o* cause yeah, near the end I was hardly breathing cause of tiny girls pushi me on the left, right and back....

Sooooo... this was it... T'was pretty awesome.... I love 'em 8B

I'm now up to 120 movies ._. ... I'm such a compulsive movie buyer -.- ... Everyone spend their money somewhere, I guess... I spend mine on school debts and movies ._.    And shows in fucking Toronto.

Why the fuck is Canada this big, eh ? D8< Why the fuck do they all play on a week day ? D8< Fuckers ! I hate you all (Not.  As if I could... But still... D'espa on Aug. 11th, Dir on Aug 23rd  and on Sept. 30th or something, there's Serj Tankian in Montréal... I'm soooooooooooo fucked. D8<  I'm so creating teleportation right now >_>... Anyway, I guess I'll only go to D'espairsRay, since everything is already planned... Unless you know how to drive and wanna take my place as co-driver to get there so that I could at least go to Dir x Apocalyptica's concert D8...)

Team Rocket is blasting off agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain !

I just tried to get connected, I thought that no one was home so that wouldn't fuck up anyone's connection... But my room mate just got out of his room to turn off and on the router, which means he got disconnected.
Which means I couldn't be righter : What fucks up our connection is that there's only one channel for 3 computers and they're all fighting to have it, as simple as that.
I wish I'd be able to hack connections... I'd be able to get the one of the appartment below us... The signal is even stronger than ours XD and there's 10 channels >_>...
For once, I'm not pissed or anything, I just know the source of the problem and I can't really do anything for it... So I'll just wait for no one to be home and I'll use internet, that's all...


Oh and, on a completely unrelated subject, in the end I won't work on saturdays, so everything'll be alright to go at the Pique-Nique Victorien and my grand-mother's wedding.  I won't have to ask for 984579348573984 off days, only those which I'll got at Toronto to see D'espairsRay (10-12 of August) which is awesome. Speaking of them, is there anyone else here beside Josy, Mad, Franco and Matsuro going ? I think it could be interresting if I could meet some of you in the line... Just be aware that we'll arrive here pretty soon on the 11th so that we have good places at the front~ (Cause yeah, for those who didn't knew it yet, D'espairsRay in Toronto on August 11th 2010 8B [Edit : WO. So you say you are a Japanese Rock fan.

Of course, you know Dir en grey, Gazette, Alice Nine, AnCafe, miyavi, Malice Mizer and X-Japan.

Ok.  Malice, Dir and X are classics. But there are MUCH more than this.  Here is a... I'll try to make it short... list of band you should know.  (And yeah, I'm not posting any links of pictures.  Stop being some lazy asses and SEARCH by yourself.)

 

BUCK-TICK

Seriously, this band should have the same notoriety as X.  It's probably the only band on Earth with over 200 songs and that every single one of them is good.  Even the oldest ones, back in the 80's.  I think it's impossible for someone not to like at least a single song by them.  Luckily, they have many Best of album, just pick one of them and listen to it (Catalogue 2005 would be the best, I guess).

 

Kuroyume

You like Dir en grey, you should at least know Kuroyume... or AT THE VERY LEAST, Kiyoharu's name.  You don't ? Shame on you, then.  Go watch Autism's PV.  And look for a Best of album for them too (EMI 1994-1998 BEST OR WORST, maybe...), but if I had to suggest an album, I'd make you take a listen to feminism.  Then, you might want to look for Kiyoharu's solo work and another band of his : the SADS.

 

LUNA SEA

Maybe you'd think the voice is annoying, but if you like X, I wouldn't get why you'd not like them, especially since they've been discovered by hide.  They should have a Best of album (-COMPLETE BEST- someone ?) too.. if not, at least go watch ROSIER's PV.  (Not that the PV is OMFG AWESOME, but the song IS.)

 

Penicillin

You surely know Hakuei for his modelling in the GLBs, huh ? Penicillin is his band.  Yes, he does have a very peculiar voice, but we get used to it.  At least, you should go watch Imitation Love and Romance's PVs.  It's older stuff, but i must say that I'm not really up to date, concerning them... Cause yeah, they are still pretty active !

 

Pierrot

Private Enemy and ID Attack.  Look for those.  I like how they may sound quite happy when you don't really know what Kirito is singing... But then, when you do, you get that they're quite fucked up ♥ Pierrot is disbanded, but it doesn't mean that the boys aren't.  Aiji is now in LM.C, as you may know, and Kirito, Kohta and Takeo are now in Angelo... And I must say that Angelo is still much in Pierrot's range, so does Kirito's solo career.  But still, I personnally prefer Pierrot, so listen to them. Now.

 

L'arc~en~Ciel

Please, tell me you at least know Laruku ! x_x Or you know Hyde, don't you ? Err, anyway... I must say that I'm not THIS fond of L'arc, but it's still a classic.  Look for Stay Away's PV (It's caricatural, got it ?) .  Maybe give a try to that Quatrinity best of.... 

 

MUCC

Maybe you heard about the EroGuro style ? They started/popularized it, even though they're not much into it anymore.  They're now trying new stuff and it's alright this way.  You MUST watch Ware arubeki basho's PV. MUST.  Then, look for those albums : BEST OF MUCC and WORST OF MUCC.

 

Plastic Tree

You heard about Kodonas too ? This word actually comes from Plastic Tree's vocalist, Ryutarou's mouth.  Every kodona in this world should listen to Plastic Tree.  Ok, ok... At least know them.  They're more on the soft side, I must say, though... But who said that J-rock HAS to be heavy ? Look for their Single Collect kind of best of.  And Baka ni natta no ni's PV is pretty cool xD

 

D'espairsRay

Probably most of you know them for their latest work... But I suggest you older stuff.  Coll:set as for an example, and even older stuff.  Also look for Reddish and Garnet's PVs, specially if you don't really want to listen to a whole album.

 

Lareine

Especially if you're more on the visual kei side and that you like the shity band in which Kamijo is now which people usually call Versailles, you should know how fabulous he was in Lareine.  Just look for some PVs/Lives on YouTube
