“Recently...”

I saw a live footage of a band called D. It seems to me that the band’s guitarist D’s playing has gotten softer. So... soft... Something is missing. In the past, he would play with fierce picking where for every live, he had to get his nails strengthened by a manicurist since it was a play to the extent of breaking the guitar strings. For a couple of years, he hasn’t broken any strings during the live. Now, the way he produces sound may be correct and it’s understandable how the current songs require delicacy in playing. He is not just seeking for fierceness.
